Noe Valley Residence
Seoul-born and raised, our client now calls San Francisco home. In the pursuit of “adulting” (turning 30 during the span of the project), she moved from her loft to this contemporary three-story residence in the hills of Noe Valley with sweeping views of San Francisco and a bamboo forest of a backyard resembling Arashiyama in Kyoto. With talking to her she wanted a minimal soft design, simple and modest materials that would be a welcoming unpretentious environment, where she could do her favorite activities: read books from her home library including Russian literature, lounge on lows eating or floor cushions in her living room molding ceramics on her coffee table, or spending relaxing evenings with her friends over a spread of Kimchi and Japchae.
